We’ve had a great relationship with ‘Switzerland Tourism’ since 2019, where they’ve commissioned us to build them a bespoke track for their stand each year they’ve been at Goodwood Revival to represent the ‘Grand Tour of Switzerland

As Switzerland Tourism were named the ‘Official Travel Destination for Laver Cup 2022’, held at The O2 in London on September 23rd – 25th, they asked to have the 2022 track on their stand at the Laver Cup 2022.

The weekend before this event Roger Federer had announced his retirement from tennis. Roger Federer visited the Switzerland Tourism stand on the Thursday, it was an honour meeting such amazing sports personality.

The brief from the client was the track needed to represent Switzerland, the ‘Swiss Grand Tour’ and also they requested a tennis court to represent The Laver Cup. The Grand Tour of Switzerland is a Tour of Switzerland that takes you on a 1,600 km tour through the most beautiful regions of Switzerland. It includes 22 lakes, 5 alpine passes, 12 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and much more.

The Laver Cup is an international indoor hard court men’s team tennis tournament between Team Europe and Team World, the latter of which is composed of players from all other continents except Europe. Usually held annually since 2017, the tournament is intended to be the Ryder Cup of the tennis world. It normally takes place two weeks after the US Open, with the location rotating between various host cities (that usually do not have an ATP Tour event); alternating yearly between European cities and cities in the rest of the world. In addition to the guaranteed participation fees which are based upon the players’ ATP rankings, each member of the winning team gets $250,000 in prize money, but the tournament itself does not count towards the players’ point totals in the ATP Tour for that year. In May 2019, the Laver Cup became an officially sanctioned ATP Tour event.
