Celebrating 25 Years of The Fast and the Furious
On 25th August we were thrilled to be part of an amazing event at Cineworld at The O2 in London, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of The Fast and the Furious franchise.
To help celebrate such an iconic milestone, we represented Scalextric with one of our custom-made Fast & Furious themed Scalextric track. Guests could get behind the wheel, race against each other and compete for some fantastic prizes.
Guests could choose from some of the most recognisable cars from the franchise, including Dominic Toretto’s iconic Dodge Charger, the Mazda RX-7 and Brian O’Conner’s legendary Toyota Supra. Scalextric very kindly supplied some fantastic Fast & Furious prizes, with the fastest lap times winning their very own Fast & Furious Scalextric set.

With plenty of people taking on the track throughout the evening, there were some very happy winners wandering around The O2! Of course, we couldn’t resist putting a few laps in ourselves. We had another Fast & Furious legend on the track too — the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 from 2 Fast 2 Furious. Complete with working underglow lighting, the R34 looked absolutely epic under the lights of the event!
Our track was just one of the attractions at the event. Guests could also take part in racing simulators and a range of other activities. There were even some fantastic LEGO sets up for grabs for the simulator winners. It was fantastic to see so many people getting involved and enjoying the racing throughout the evening.

It was fantastic to be involved in the 25th Anniversary celebrations of The Fast and the Furious, and we’re delighted to have brought a little Scalextric racing to such an iconic franchise.
