Celebrating 150 Years of The Crown with a Scalextric Tournament!
On Saturday 18 July we were proud to join The Crown at Arford as they celebrated an incredible 150 years at the heart of the local community. To mark the occasion, we brought one of our large mobile digital Scalextric tracks, where guests enjoyed an afternoon of competitive racing, chasing the fastest lap and plenty of friendly rivalry.
The historic pub marked the occasion with a fantastic community festival. Guests enjoyed live music, family entertainment, garden games, a traditional hog roast, and beer and Pimm’s tents throughout the day..

Meanwhile, our Scalextric Tournament, held upstairs in the function room, proved to be a popular attraction, with visitors of all ages taking on the challenge to set the fastest lap. Entry was just a £1 charity donation, with plenty of friendly competition and some incredibly close racing throughout the afternoon. The overall winner was Lucy with an amazing time of 5.755 seconds.
Overall, it was fantastic to see so many families, friends, and local residents getting involved in the celebrations. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at The Crown Arford for inviting us to be part of such a special milestone, and congratulations on reaching an amazing 150 years in business.
