On November 16th 2018 we were honoured to be the entertainment with our branded digital Scalextric track at the Final Meal of the Big Learner Relay at the Hilton in Northampton. To date the ‘BLR’ has raised over £400,000 for BBC Children in Need. The organisers & the committee are an amazing group of people.
We at Think Scalextric Events are also Driving Instructors during the day. This year we decided to get involved in The Big Learner Relay for Children In Need. At the end party for all the driving instructors that where involved we set up our large digital Scalextric track to run a fastest lap of the Night Board.
We would like to to say thank you to Hendy Performance & Brands Hatch for providing some prizes for the driving instructors to win after all the hours they each put into make in The Big Learner Relay such a success. To date they have raised over £300,000 pounds.
We would also like to thank the Marmalade Network for Sponsoring the Scalextric track at the party.
BIG LEARNER RELAY 2018 OVERVIEW: Starting in Ireland before hopping over to the mainland, the convoy will travel the length and breadth of Britain over 13 days carrying a Children in Need top box. And on each leg of the journey, a different set of Approved Driving Instructors and learners will form the convoy, raising money for BBC Children in Need.
