A friend and colleague is a volunteer for the 1st Blackmoor, Bordon and Whitehill Cub Scouts and Beavers. They asked if we could donate some time help him out with one of their meetings, and of course we accepted!
We did 2 sessions; 1 with the Beavers and 1 with the Cubs. Each session involved the guys and girls splitting into teams to take a slot car apart. This involved taking the body off the chassis, removing the rear axle, then re-building it, ready for racing. Then they could race, which was obviously super fun and extremely noisy!
At ‘Black, White & Reds’ they provide Scouting to young people in and around the Blackmoor, Bordon and Whitehill areas of Hampshire and other surrounding towns and villages. They encourage their young people to do more, learn more and be more.
As Scouts, they believe in preparing young people with skills for life. Each week, The Scouts give over 460,000 young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future.
