EVENT: ‘Coffee Run’ at Donington Park with Collecting Cars

A HUGE TURNOUT OF CARS GATHERED AT DONINGTON FOR THE LAST LARGE COLLECTING CARS ‘COFFEE RUN’ OF 2022.
Over the last weekend of November we were at the ‘Collecting Cars Coffee Run’ at Donington Park Circuit with our large branded Scalextric track. It was amazing event over 1800 cars and more than 2500 people.
Whilst there was no track action, there was a fantastic display of cars across 3 or 4 paddocks and a more curated display of quirky cars next to the pit garages.
Guests were treated a display of over 250 Porsches in collaboration with Porsche Club GB, a Collecting Cars partner. They also took over one of the pit garages and had a Scalextric track setup for younger guests and big-kids to have some fun on.
During the event there was a ‘Collecting Cars Car Park Concours’, where the Collecting Cars team took their pick of the car park and give a goodie bag to 3 lucky owners!
3rd place was awarded to a lovely 964 Carrera 2, parked in the Porsche Club GB area, finished in the rarer shade of Oak Green Metallic. 2nd place went to the latest and greatest from BMW, the M4 CSL. One of only a handful that have been delivered in the UK and a big crowdpleaser at the event. Finally, 1st place was awarded to a Morgan Aero 8 Convertible for its unique specification and rarity at the ‘Coffee Run’.
