WILLIAMS RACE DAY HOSPITALITY: Silverstone F1 GP 03/07/22
We had two ‘British Grand Prix’ events running alongside other over the F1 weekend. We had this event at the Williams Experience Centre on Sunday 3rd July and we also had one of our Scalextric tracks in ‘The Racing Green’ Hospitality over the race weekend at Silverstone Race Circuit – CLICK HERE for more pictures and information about that event.
On 3rd July May we were back at The Williams Experience Centre. This weeks Race Day Hospitality was for the ‘Lenova British Grand Prix’. It was a busy day at Williams with a lot of guests. Our Scalextric track and the Williams Esports Simulators were constantly is us, with Aaron getting the Fastest Lap of the day with a 7.991 second lap. This years Lenovo British Grand Prix had everything. It was an epic race, with a red flag at the start after a first corner crash, plenty of overtaking and to top it off a safety car towards the end of the race which definitely spiced things up, which meant Carlos Sainz had his first ever F1 victory.
Despite numerous layout changes over the years, Silverstone has always maintained its essential character as one of the fastest tracks on the F1 calendar, while historic corners like Maggotts, Becketts and Abbey provide some of the biggest challenges for racing drivers anywhere in the world.
It’s hard to stop the goose bumps from prickling as you walk around one of the great cathedrals of motorsport, while in terms of atmosphere, the British fans are always reliably raucous – this is the country that invented football (that’s soccer, mind), after all.
Williams welcomes you to enjoy a Grand Prix Race Day at the Williams Experience Centre. The day includes a review of qualifying with an exclusive live link up to one of the drivers, live control room link up, VIP guest appearance with interview, refreshments and lunch followed by the live race screening. There is also the opportunity to browse the Williams Grand Prix Collection with a tour guide, as well as testing your speed on our 20 x F1-style driving simulators, our Super-Size Scalextric Track and other activities on the day.
