EVENT: Lenovo British F1 Grand Prix July 2022 – ‘The Racing Green’ Hospitality
The Formula 1 Lenovo British Grand Prix 2022 was held 1st – 3rd July and we had two ‘British Grand Prix’ events running simultaneously over the F1 weekend. On Sunday 3rd July we had a Race Day Hospitality event at the Williams Experience Centre and on 2nd & 3rd July we had one of our Scalextric tracks in ‘The Racing Green‘ Hospitality at Silverstone Race Circuit. The buzz over the weekend was amazing, with a sell out crowd attending the 2022 British F1 Grand Prix. ‘The Racing Green’ Hospitality was situated near the Wellington Straight, which had a great view of several corners of the Silverstone Circuit.
During the weekend we were constanstly busy, and quite often there was a queue to see who can get the ‘Fastest Lap’ of each day and win a baseball cap which was signed by ex Formula 1 driver David Coulthard. The prizes was organised by Velocity Experience.
ABOUT THE TRACK: The customer asked for a Scalextric track that would work well in their hospitality enviroment and would be challenging, but playable, by adults and children. The also requested that the track be dressed up with their ‘The Racing Green’ branding. As you will see in the images below we placed their logo on the Scalextric buildings and grandstands, as well as Magnetic Racing billboards and gantries.
We also had a details replica of the Silverstone Clubhouse & Timekeepers Box from 1950-60 era. The replica was dessigned, built and painted by the Magnetic Racing division of our business.
