WILLIAMS RACE DAY HOSPITALITY: Miami F1 GP 2024
On 7th May 2024 we were back at the Williams Experience Centre for ‘Race Day Hospitality’. This week was for the Miami F1 GP. Formula 1 returned to the Sunshine State for the Miami Grand Prix at the newly-built Miami International Autodrome. The Miami Grand Prix at Miami International Autodrome made its long awaited debut on the Formula 1 calendar in May 2022.
Max Verstappen has won the first two editions of the Miami Grand Prix. The 2024 Miami Grand Prix took place from May 3-5. Miami will host F1’s sprint race format for the first time in 2024. The new circuit, which was constructed for the inaugural 2022 race, is set out around the Hard Rock Stadium – the home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team, located 25km north of downtown Miami.
Formula 1 has been keen on staging a Grand Prix in Miami ever since Liberty Media’s takeover of the sport in 2017. Despite a number of roadblocks and obstacles, the race was finally confirmed to be joining the calendar in April 2021. It made its debut in May 2022.

This was F1’s third visit to Florida. The first was all the way back in 1959, when the United States Grand Prix was held as a round of the World Championship for the first time. The race took place at Sebring International Raceway, famous as the host of the 12 Hours of Sebring.
