OPEN EVENT FORMATS

The Open Event Formats are better for larger groups to make sure that every guest has a chance to enjoy the slot car party experience. They are also perfect for after/before dinner entertainment, large parties (Corporate or Private), high attendance promotional public events and Charity fund raisers.

Fastest Lap Flat Out Racing Fun: Each driver has a set number of laps to get their best time. The amount of laps/time is determined by how many guests and how much time is available. The racer with the ‘Fastest Lap’ of the evening is declared the winner.

Most Laps in Allotted Time: This format is perfect for an event which must run to time or is short on time. Again it’s determined by amount of guests and time available for the event. Each driver gets an allotted amount of time and the racer with the most amount of laps in their time allowed is declared the winner.

Overall Race Time: In this format consistency is the key. It focuses on the overall time for a set number of laps, and again is determined by the amount of guests and the time available for the event. To win this format sometimes ‘slow and steady’ is a lot faster than falling off every other lap. The racer with the fastest overall time of the evening is declared the winner.

PRE-EVENT STRUCTURED FORMATS

Each event is custom made for your needs. We take into account number of racers, or teams, taking part and how much time is available. These formats work better with smaller groups, as there is a lot more focus on the racing and each driver gets a lot more time racing. These events are great for teambuilding exercises.

Driver Championship: Race against each other in the style of a Formula One World Championship, in a number of different cars from Minis to F1 cars. Accumulating points from races and qualifying. The winner of the event is the racer with the most points at the end of the event.

Team Championship: Racing in teams choosing the most suited car to your ability. The event starts with free practice with beginner, intermediate and expert cars. Then there will be 3 qualifying sessions and 3 races for each of the different groups. It’s up to the team to choose which team member uses the most suitable car to win the team championship. This event can be varied dependant on numbers and time available. The winner of the event is the team with the most points at the end of the event.

Knockout Event: Made up of a series of races, with the fastest racers from each race progressing to the next race, until we have the fastest racers against each other in the big final race. The winner of the event is the racer who wins the Final Race.

TIMING SYSTEM

We use computer software to run the races, which give you lap times down to the 1/1000th of a second just like in real F1 racing, as well as keeping position of racers, fuel load (if turned on), distance between cars, fastest lap and total laps completed.
