on tuesday 4th july 2023 we were in Sheerwater, near Woking, where we’re enjoying a fun internal event for all the staff at Yamaha Motor (UK) Ltd. This event is a little different to our normal events, as we’re racing Scalextric motorbikes instead of cars; and WOW they are interesting to race.
Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., branch UK was established on 30th March in 1971. Yamaha motorcycles were first imported into the UK by Mitsui in 1965. Subsequently, other Yamaha products such as outboard engines, ATVs, golf cars, lawnmowers and generators were added to the range. On the 30th March 1971 Mitsui Machinery Sales incorporated as a UK company and continued under this name until 1st January 1996 when they became Yamaha Motor (UK) Ltd. On the 1st August 2012 YMUK became a branch office of YME.
Ever since their founder, Genichi Kawakami, established Yamaha Motor in 1955, it is their mission to give to ALL their customers ‘KANDO’. And not just only with their products.
