EVENT: University of Bolton @ Autosport 2016
The University of Boltons Centre for Advanced Performance Engineering got us to build a branded digital Scalextric track on one of their stands at the Autosport International racing car show at the NEC in Birmingham. We also customised some of the tracks building with the university’s logos. During the 4 day event we had 609 2 minutes races of 4 people each time; so that’sover 2400 people having a go and many more watching.
During the 2 public days there was never a gap between races with a queue the whole time. This gave the University staff time to interact with the audience. We also ran a fastest lap of the show competition to keep people interested and to keep them coming back to check if they where still on the leader board. All this helping the University to be remembered well after the show had finished.
