MONACO INSPIRED STREET CIRCUIT, 2022 (13′ X 8′)
On Wednesday 13th April 2022 we delivered our ‘Monaco Inspired Street Circuit’ bespoke build to a very happy client Slot Car-Union in Nice, France.
Our brief from the customer was that they would like a Monaco inspired design, use custom painted Carrera track and it needed to be approximately 13ft x 8ft.
As well as using genuine Carrera track, we also used the modified ‘Carrera Digital 124 / 132 Control Unit For Slot Car Track With Power Adapter with Control Box’, which allows the user to switch between analogue and digital racing. Plus custom anti crash lane changer chips, including a pit lane from TEK-Slots. We also used a custom built left pit entry section, cameraman flash lights with a detection sensor, plus pace car flashing amber circuit lights from HomeGrandPrix.DE. The total length of the track was 31ft/9.5m, plus the pit lane.

We also took the standard Carrera start/finish gantry and lap counter apart and retro fitted them into our own housings. We spent around 2000 man hours creating this circuit, plus over 400 hours of 3D print time. We decided to route the pit garage exits and safety car lane so we could run the cars over the cobbled streets. There are also many detailed scenes including:
- Jimmy’z Nightclub (with a light up dance floor)
- DHL delivery/collection loading dock
- A homeless area under the bridge
- Viewing windows to see under the sea
- plus much more.
The pièces de résistance comes in the form of the commission built Monte Carlo Casino (officially named ‘Casino de Monte-Carlo’), Fairmont Hotel and the Café de Paris from Magnetic Racing.
Below are some pictures of the track and scenery, as well as a montage video which includes a lap of the track. Enjoy!
