EVENT: McLaren Racing Family & Friends Day 2025

On Saturday 11th October 2025 we had an action packed day of digital Scalextric racing at the Mclaren Technology Centre in Woking for their ‘McLaren Racing Friends & Family Day’, an amazing open day event for the Mclaren Racing staff and partners.
The day enabled the MacLaren Racing employees and their families to enjoy and see Formula 1 from a different angle. The event included having a tour of some of the facilities plus they could enjoy all the activities laid on for the families, including several racing simulators, a pit stop challenges, Batak machines and one of our large mobile digital Scalextric tracks…naturally we raced McLaren slot cars on race track!
We were lucky enough to see Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Zak Brown & Andrea Stella whilst we were at their Woking facility. The McLaren Friends & Family Day was such a great day, with two sessions during the day consisting of over 1000 people in the morning then another 1200+ in the afternoon.

As soon as the doors opened at 9am we had a continuous flow of eager racers, of all ages, wanting to race on our Scalextric track. There was a lot of close racing all day, with our McLaren Racing branded ‘Fastest Lap’ leaderboard constantly being updated. At the end of the day we had some very fast sub 6.5 second laps, with Harvey topping the board with an epic lap of 7.213 seconds. During each session the families were also treated to a driving demonstration of a few iconic cars, driven by Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Zak Brown.
